DR. ANICA JOVANOVIC A 40 day Memoriam to Dr. Anica Jovanovic, who passed away in Toronto. Dr. Jovanovic was one of the Pillars of the community in Winnipeg. Her work with the International Centre, Serbian and Yugoslavian Communities laid the foundation for future generations. Her cultural contributions and teaching that she made in the 1970s and 1980s continue to this day; with dances she taught still being taught to children, the Serbian Pavilion in Folklorama celebrating yet another continuous year since inception and the embroidery she made representing Serbia still hanging in the International Centre in Winnipeg. She was remarkable and it's going to be a long time before the world sees another woman like her.
